# Realms of cognitive engagement in Active Inference Presenter: Colin Turfus Contribution: Pre-recorded Video presentation Public ID: talk-e6b74eca6a40a9eb ## Submitted abstract We consider how Active Inference ideas shed new light on issues in epistemology and axiology, in particular proposing a unifying paradigm based on understanding human enquiry as a process of engagement operating in multiple realms, specifically embeddedness, embodiedness, reflection, participation and immersion. We look at what can be learned from within this framework about areas which have become flashpoints in society such as conflicting worldviews and identity politics.
