# Entropy Minimization is Maximal Order Presenter: Steph Macurdy Contribution: Pre-recorded Video presentation Public ID: talk-37abb829454f9743 ## Submitted abstract A fundamental thermoeconomic tradeoff materializes the moment we mathematically anchor currency as a direct proxy for available physical work, specifically when constrained by the mandate to minimize localized entropy. In any advanced computational or economic network, entropy minimization—the deliberate purging of thermodynamic noise to forge structured, usable information—acts as an inescapable physical tax that must be settled in joules. When this energetic expenditure is tightly coupled to financial cost, money ceases to be a purely abstract medium of exchange; instead, it becomes a literal representation of thermodynamic potential.
